SALARY SURVEY SOFTWARE
ERI's Salary Assessor® & Survey is an easy-to-use software program that reports "up to the present day" competitive wage, salary, and incentive survey data. Each of over 5,800 jobs has been studied over time (many since 1967). Analyses are derived from millions of data points gathered from digitized public records including the US SEC, OCR of US IRS returns, ERI Salary Survey's patented online surveys (78 US industries in 5 countries), and licensed UK, Canadian, and US salary surveys and datasets. Job titles and descriptions are enhanced with ERI's daily reading of 35% of worldwide online job postings; under license, advertised (high) salaries are not incorporated.
ERI research saves subscribers time and expense, providing analyses of competitive pay defined by 500 (9,600 with the Geographic Assessor) areas in North America and Europe, 1,200 industries, and infinite organization sizes. Six thousand corporate subscribers, including most US Fortune 500 companies, use Assessor data in planning salaries (some for over 20 years). The Assessor survey research is available in 2 versions – Professional (for US/Canada non-management salary planning) and Consultant (for salary planning with executive data, US/UK/EU planning, board governance, and litigation support).
Professional Edition Salary Assessor (SA) is for wage and salary planning. Features include:
- Review salary ranges and median/means for 5,400 positions in 370 US and Canadian metro areas
- Expand analyses to over 8,200 US and Canadian city locations when used in conjunction with ERI's Geographic Assessor® labor cost software and databases; reset percentile definitions at any time
- Calculate competitive levels of salaries, incentives and total compensation by geographic area, industry, organization size, salary planning date, and pay strategy (at, below, or above market)
- Create a user defined area representing the labor market pool from which a workforce is derived
- Gain free access (with any active license code) to ERI's Salary Planning Survey, a unique merit increase survey tied to job function and skills, in addition to traditional area and industry analyses
- Quickly create a benchmark list of competitive rates for up to 300 positions' means/medians as a primary analysis or an audit of others' work (for checking one's outsource or consultant's analyses)
- Create views of 99 areas' mean or median salaries for any one position (used by organizations that transfer/place individuals for two- to three-year assignments)
- Review Salaries by Level (reflecting PAQ's 4 job family level descriptions) or Salaries by Experience/Size (reflecting eDOT Skills Project findings of average experience for each/any job)
- Create a unique hybrid job by selecting and weighting up to nine component positions
- Utilize the new Salary Planning tab for staff planning and salary increase planning
- Retrieve source datasets' rates of error and sample sizes (where allowed by copyright/license)
- Edit and rewrite brief job descriptions; SA uses PAQ's updated eDOT descriptions, under license
- Salary tables are displayed and stored according to user specifications. Data may be ranked, sorted, printed, emailed, saved, and exported to other applications (Word, Excel, etc.); consultants may private-label via software assists.
